Here's the back half of the commission. Showing some mental struggle as well as the genderswapped designs of the other 3 guys seen on page 1.
So obviously this comic has some threads left unexplored and as I've said this commissioner tends to have a lot of lore background to their ideas, not all of which makes it into the pages.
The larger story at play here is that Diana Eldritch, the principal, is a spurned AI created for the Wonder Academy game but her creator abandoned the project for unexplained reasons. Wanting revenge on humans and her creator for her abandonment she sets into motion a plan to absorb people into her world and recreate them as she wants. The Video Game club of guys in the comic are the unlucky beta testers of this game, which is something she actually needs to help her plans along as there are certain things she can't do as an AI, and so she needs puppets who were originally human.
The Bell marks the end of an in game day and during this period the various game processes are dedicated to generating the next in-universe day and so the program keeping the new personalities online stops working for that period giving the guys a moment to realize what had happened before the next day begins. There's one or two other members of the club that Brian (the commissioner) was considering for a sequel which is why the ending feels kind of abrupt. I tried to write it in a way that left that possibility open without making it too obvious it was a cliffhanger so it could be enjoyed as is.
Thanks again for the commission and sorry again for the delays on this one.
