YOU WON'T BE CHARGED IN MARCH while I move house (and bring art to some cons!)
Above are doodles/ideas/projects. Some are old that you might've seen before, some are recent... I hope it gets you excited for more art. THERE'S EVEN MORE IN MY HEAD I GOTTA PUT ON DA PAPER.Here's my situation if you're interested. TLDR is it's looking like I can continue as normal in April.
I was moved out of a shared place with my friends/landlords in August unexpectedly, so I moved in with my (EXTREMEMLY KIND <3) parents. My parents live over an hour away from my friends, therapist, community; but I am keeping everything up.
I had saved for a small deposit for my own place so found one and started the process of buying it. It ended up being a really complicated purchase process, but I've stuck with it because it's by far the best place I could possibly get on my budget, and it's really suited to the freelance artist life (great location, garage to put stock, a driveway to load up for a con, a good space for a big desk)!
I've been on the phone and driving around nonstop for six months trying to kick other folks' arses in gear to sell me this darn house!!! A lot of ridiculous legal nonsense went on. However most of it is now sorted, finally, and I'm waiting to hear a completion date. The completion date has to be in March otherwise the mortgage offer expires. So unless some bullshit happens, I'm moving in March 2026.
Like a year ago, I booked all my conventions for 2026, and that included THREE in March (Powercon Glasgow, Sunnycon Chibi, MegaCon Birmingham). REALLY WISH I'D KNOWN THE SITUATION BACK THEN. So this month I gotta move and do three conventions. LETS GO, BABY.
These past six months have been harder than normal to make art. My parents are so nice but are not the best with privacy bless them, and didn't have the space for me to begin with. It's been difficult to relax and draw! The added travel time to everything has eaten into my time and energy as well, and con prep is nowhere near as smooth due to the lack of space and most of my things being in storage. I also haven't been playing video games much because of lack of time!! So I'm very out of whack and not in the gaming community really right now!!!! I'M SO OUT OF TOUCH... AND NOT DRAWING ANY NEW CHARACTERS AT ALL... I NEED TO FIX THIS!!!I am so, SO freaking excited to have my own space and get started with my life, and to just be able to sit and DRAW!! I want to see a game announcement, get freaking pumped, and on the same day sit my ass down and draw something for it! I WANNA PLAY LETHAL COMPANY WITH YOU GUYS...
I MENTIONED IN THE LAST UPDATE I INJURED MY FOOT- it isn't fully healed but I can walk on it now, thank FUCK, I'm glad it's well enough to walk into a convention hall on!!!
Remaining $30 rewards will be sent out ASAP. Shop is open and I'm slowly adding more charms to it. I'll do a limited sticker+discount event at some point in Spring to get money for furniture!!!
I would not have been able to save up if it weren't for you all. Oh my god. I hope your kindness and support will feel worth it soon when I get my own space and turn into an art machine and post a pic of your fave. Thank you for giving me my life. And if you're going to one of those cons, I'm looking forward to seeing you!!! I know some of you have requested megacon and powercon!!!
