Hello everybunny!The end of the year is near. We hope you all had a good and productive year!! For us, we want to make a post about it in a couple weeks, but we're happy with all the work we've done!
There are still a few weeks left, so let's get to last week's work :D
First with commissions~starting with the adorable Chao we showed the final patterns a while ago.
Now that we finally received the mochi fabric, we started working on both the embroidery test and machine sewing all the body. We knew this test would NOT be perfect due to several reasons. In one hand, the mochi we used for the tests is a different brand from the onewe're using for the final plush. On the other hand, as we've said before, when machine sewing pieces together, the fabric's stretchiness plays a role and can deform shapes. At the end, you're putting a hole in the pattern, specially with how stretchy mochi is. So it's completely normal that the first machine test doesn't turn out as expected.
With this in mind, we want to show you how this machine sewn prototype looks like! As expected, the shapes and proportions have changed a bit, and it needs fixing. But it still looks adorable! A very good base to work with.
To visualize better the changes it needs, we edited the photo. Basically, it needs a bigger head, define more the forehead shape, arms smaller and raising the feet. We also need to fix the embroidery a bit (plus make the eyes blue).
It looks like a lot, but they're really simple changes that will make the plush look way better!What do you think? Do you like how this project is going? We will probably be able to show a new test next week.
Now with other commissions, the "Toymaker" devs asked us if we could make two more strawberries to bring to cons. You know that we are working on a "DIY plush kit" with them for a future Kickstarter, but this is apart from that. They wanted these plushies to be the same quality as the first strawberry, so we made them in a couple days. It's a really cute design hehehe.
More commissions and plush rewards, we have made another custom lizard. This time, it was brown with green eyes. It makes us really happy to see how you all still love this design, and we love making each of them unique for each customer! We enjoy this pattern a lot, and knowing you also like it, we will try to make more variants in the future <3
Speaking of lizards, we prepared the shipping for the Wizard Lizard and Choco alligator. The latter will go to the same owner as the custom lizard!
We weren't able to ship them yet because of the troubles for shipping to USA due to the new tariffs. We couldn't ship anything there for over 3 months ;___; but it's slowly getting sorted out. Shipping costs have raised, but at least they get home!
Now with rewards, we know you are excited to see our next pattern reward ideas. Don't worry, we are working on that! We have several new designs in mind and we want to prepare everything before posting the new poll. We hope you like all the options as much as us >w<

Hello everybunny!Ya se acerca el final de año. Esperamos que haya sido un año muy productivo y bueno para vosotres!! Por nuestra parte, en unas semanas queremos hacer un post sobre ello, pero en resumen, estamos muy felices con el trabajo que hemos sacado adelante!
Y aún quedan un par de semanas, así que vamos con un resumen del trabajo de esta semana pasada :D
Vamos primero con los encargos~ empezando con nuestro adorable Chao que os enseñamos hace poco su patronaje final.
Ahora que por fin recibimos la tela mochi, nos pusimos a hacer tanto la prueba de bordado como la prueba de coserlo a máquina. Sabíamos que está prueba NO saldría perfecta a la primera por varios motivos. Por un lado, la mochi que hemos usado es de otra marca, así que es algo diferente a la marrón de las pruebas. Por otro lado, al hacer las piezas cosidas a máquina ya os hemos comentado otras veces que la elasticidad de las piezas cambia el resultado. Al final, estás poniéndole un "agujero" al patrón. Y más en el caso de la mochi, que es extremadamente elástica. Así que es totalmente normal que la primera prueba no salga como uno espera, no os preocupéis.
Con esto en mente, os queríamos enseñar como se ve este primer prototipo limpio! Cómo esperábamos, las formas y proporciones han cambiado, y necesitará arreglos. Pero aún así, ya se ve bastante adorable! Una muy buena base en la que trabajar.
Para visualizar mejor los cambios que necesita, hemos editado un poco la foto. Básicamente, necesita hacerse la cabeza más grande, marcar más la forma de frente, hacerle los brazos más pequeños y subirle un poco los pies. También queremos arreglar un poco el bordado (además de hacer los ojos azules).
Parece mucho, pero realmente son ajustes bastante sencillos y que harán que el peluche ya se vea mucho mejor!Cómo lo veis vosotres? Os gusta por donde va el proyecto? Seguramente la próxima semana os podamos enseñar la nueva prueba.
Siguiendo ahora con más encargos, los creadores de "Toymaker" nos pidieron si podíamos hacer 2 peluches de fresa extra para llevar a los eventos. Ya sabéis que estamos trabajando con ellos en un "kit de hacer tu propio peluche" para un futuro Kickstarter, pero esto es algo aparte. Querían que fueran de la misma calidad y detalles de la primera fresa, así que en un par de días se las repetimos. La verdad es que es una monada de diseño jejeje.
Siguiendo con más encargos y con recompensas de peluches, hemos hecho algún lagarto custom por encargo. En esta ocasión, hicimos uno marrón pero con los ojitos verdes. Nos hace muy muy felices ver cómo os sigue enamorando este diseño de peluche, y es muy bonito hacerlos siempre distintos y únicos para cada cliente! Disfrutamos mucho este patrón y, sabiendo que a vosotres también os gusta, vamos a intentar hacer más en el futuro < 3
Hablando de lagartos, hemos aprovechado para preparar los envíos del Wizard Lizard y el Choco Alligator. Este último irá justamente al mismo propietario que el lagarto custom!
No habíamos podido aún enviarlos porque está habiendo bastantes problemas para enviar a USA con el tema de los aranceles. Estuvimos como 3 meses sin poder realizar envíos ;___; pero ya empieza a solucionarse el tema. Han subido los precios de los envíos, pero al menos parece que llegan a sus casas!
Siguiendo con tema de recompensas, sabemos que estáis deseando saber cuales serán las próximas ideas para patrones. No os preocupéis, estamos trabajando en ello! Tenemos varios diseños nuevos en mente y queremos prepararlo todo bien antes de subir la siguiente encuesta. Ojalá os gusten todas las opciones tanto como a nosotras >w<
