Hello everybunny!Today we have a but of work update. Specifically, about the adorable baby dragons ;D
As you may remember, in the last post we showed that we had a pretty solid base pattern for our dragon. But upon revisiting it, we didn't like some shapes and proportions. Specially on the neck and head. We also had some battling with the cheeks and horns.Honestly, we had a creative block due to being tired and stressed from our personal issues, and we weren't able to look at the plush with a clear mind. We only saw mistakes and got more nervous every time...
But this week, we came to the plush more refreshed and worked on it with more confidence! We made some small changes to the pattern and got into the last difficult part; the eye embrodiery. They're sooooo small, that we had to be very careful while designing them, since the smallest mistake makes them look wonky.
After a couple tests, we found the shape we wanted. But we still felt that the expression wasn't "mischievous" enough. So we played around with photoshop to find what we're looking for. With that we realised we need to rotate the eyelids and move the iris more to the side. This way it will look more fun and expressive!
With that said, we can show you the final pattern test with color and embroidery (except for the wings). We used defective fabric that we use for tests.It looks SUPER adorable!! We love it ;_; it's so cute. We made one of each embroidery again to see which one you like now in the right colors.
What do you think? Do you like it so far? At this point we find it difficult to see it perfect, but we hope you see it pretty ><
With this final test, we're more relaxed. There's still some final changes to some patterns and embroidery but we'll make them directly on the final plush. So now it's time to make the other horn and eye versions in purple and green, and make all their accessories.
Seeing how we're going, we should be able to finish and post them before the month ends :) So you can have them as a reward!
Thank you so much for your patience on this pattern. Some times we get stuck and it's difficult to keep going. At the end, this is an artistic process and when you get blocked, it's hard to get out of it. But we're proud of what we achieved <3

Hello everybunny!Hoy traemos un poco de actualización de nuestro trabajo. En específico de nuestros adorables bebés dragones ;D
Cómo sabéis, nos quedamos en que teníamos ya una base bastante sólida del patrón de nuestro dragón. La cosa es que revisándolo, no nos acababa de convencer ciertas formas y proporciones. Sobretodo en el cuello y la cabeza. Además, tuvimos que pelear un poco con detalles como las mejillas y cuernos.Sinceramente, creo que tuvimos un pequeño bloqueo por estar algo cansadas con nuestros temas personales y no éramos capaces de verlo calmadas. No parábamos de ver fallos y fallos y ponernos muy nerviosas...
Pero esta semana, volvimos a coger frescas el peluche y trabajar en él con confianza! Hicimos unos pequeños cambios y nos lanzamos a la parte más difícil que quedaba; el bordado de los ojos. Son taaan pequeños, que hay que tener mucho cuidado al diseñarlos. Porque el mínimo error los hará ver extraños y bizcos.
Pero después de 2-3 pruebas, ya encontramos la forma que buscábamos. Aunque aún sentíamos que su expresión no era suficiente "traviesa". Así que hicimos una edición con Photoshop buscando que necesitaba. Y nos dimos cuenta que debemos inclinar los párpados más en diagonal y desplazar el iris hacia atrás. De esta manera se ve muchísimo más expresivo y divertido!
Con todo esto hecho, os enseñamos como se ve la prueba final ya con color y bordados (a excepción de las alas). También hemos usado tela de pruebas, que está algo dañada pero para prototipos sirve.La verdad es que ve SUPER adorable!!! Nos encanta ;_; es una monada. (Le hemos puesto en cada brazo un bordado distinto para ver cuál nos gusta más).
Cómo lo veis vosotres? Os gusta? Al final nosotras estamos en un punto que nos cuesta verlo perfecto, pero esperamos que para vosotres esté bonito ><
Con esta prueba final hecha, ya estamos bastante tranquilas. Faltará ajustar unos últimos cambios pero lo haremos en el peluche final.Así que ahora toca hacer las versiones de cuernos y ojos en lila y verde y hacerle sus accesorios.
Viendo como vamos, deberíamos poder acabarlos y subirlos terminados antes que acabe el mes :) así que podréis tener vuestra recompensa!
Muchas gracias por vuestra paciencia con este patrón. Hay veces que nos encallamos y es difícil sacarlo adelante. Al final, es un proceso artístico y cuando te bloqueas, cuesta salir. Pero estamos orgullosas de lo que hemos conseguido <3
