Hello everybunny! We hope your week started well ^^Today we have some work updates. A few days ago we posted the baby dragon patterns (which you loved and it makes us so happy). So we took the chance to work on commissions, patreon rewards and other projects.
First, we have been working on pending plush rewards. One of our patrons asked us to make their two cats as custom beanies. We loved that idea! But thinking about that, the beanie pattern is over six years old, so we wanted to try and change some proportions and the head shape.
Just while we were working on it, our best friend lost her cat. It was so hard for her, and her birthday was close.Since we were currently reworking our beanie pattern, we had an idea. What if we made her a plush of her cat?
So we decided to make the new pattern test with this beautiful tricolor kitty. It was honestly CRAZY to design all the embroideries, spots and color blocking. Specially because since it ws surprise, we didn't have clear references, only the photos we could find around.
But after a couple tests, drawing the markings on the prototype and MANY embroidery hoopos, we made this beautiful kitty ;__;
We're really happy with the final result. We made it so fast and improvised that we were worried it would turn out wrong, but it was'nt the case. On top of that, she looks like a cat out from a Studio Ghibli movie hehehe
As an extra detail, we made a small fabric heart stuffed with her kitty's fur. When we showed our friend the plush, we told her she had to be the one to put the heart inside the plush to finish it. It was a beautiful moment, and she cried a lot. But it was worth the effort. What do ou think? ^^
Now that we know that the pattern looks good, we can finish the two kitties for our patron! We already designed all the embrodieries, we just need to sew them hehehe
On another side, we didn't post it here because we were focused on the baby dragons, but we also finished our first kigurumi!!
We're really proud of how it turned out. It was a mess to sew all the stripes (they weren't applique), There were hundreds of pieces and, in order for them to look better, we had to iron every color blocking seam. It was worth it, because the result improved so much!!
We also tried to add some details that we wanted and the customer agreed. We added a clasp to hand the tail from when walking so it didn't touch the ground. The tail could be hanged from the waist or the wrist. We still want to add more extras in the future, like maybe mittens, but we'll work on that little by little~
What do you think? The truth is that we're very happy with the result being our first kigurumi!!!
Finally, do you remember the game we did a collab with, "Toymaker"? That game where you're a plush maker who owns a toy store?
We just wanted to announce that their Kickstarter campaign just launched and we'll work with them for two of their rewards!!On one hand, you will be able to get a plush of their signature strawberry handmade by us, like the one we posted some time ago.On the other hand, and the one we're most excited about, is that you can get a physical DIY kit to make your own strawberry plush!!It was an idea we suggested them and it made us so happy they liked it. I mean, what physical reward can be better for a game like this?? >w< heheThe kit will include printed fabric, stuffing, sewing intructions and a small sewing kit.
If you are interested, we encourage you to check the campaign out. It's made by a small indie group from Spain, and they're all so kind. Their game looks so chill and cozy. We tried the demo and loved it~
And these are all the updates for now. We are working on a few plushies, so we will soon post them here.We're also preparing a new poll to decide the next class project. This isn't about pattern rewards, it will be to choose the design we will make from scratch over several classes. LEt's see which one wins.

Hello everybunny! Esperamos que vuestra semana esté empezando genial ^^Hoy venimos con una pequeña actualización de nuestro trabajo actual. Hace pocos días subimos los patrones de los dragones (que os han encantado, y somos mega felices). Así que hemos aprovechado para trabajar nuevamente en encargos, recompensas de patreon y proyectos diferentes.
Para empezar, hemos estado trabajando en recompensas de peluches que teníamos atrasados. Uno de nuestros patrons nos pidió a sus gatitas como un beanie custom. La verdad es que nos hizo mucha ilusión! Pero pensando en ello, el patrón de beanie tiene ya más de 6 años, así que queríamos probar a mejorar algunos detalles de proporciones y forma de la cabeza.
Justo cuando estábamos con ello, nuestra mejor amiga perdió a su gatita. Fue muy duro para ella, y a su vez, su cumpleaños estaba muy cerca.Como justo estábamos revisando nuestro patrón de beanie, tuvimos la idea. Y si le regalábamos un peluchito de su gatita?
Así que decidimos hacer la prueba del patrón nuevo con esta preciosa tricolor. La verdad es que fue una LOCURA diseñar todos los bordados, manchas y cambios de color. Sobretodo porque como era una sorpresa, no teníamos referencias claras, solo las fotos que pudimos juntar.
Pero después de un par de pruebas, dibujar el diseño en un prototipo y MUCHOS bastidores de bordado, conseguimos hacer esta preciosa minina ;___;
De verdad que estamos súper felices del resultado final. Fue todo tan rápido y a ciegas que nos preocupaba que saliera mal, pero para nada. Además, nos recuerda a una gatita de estilo Studio Ghibli jejejeje.
Como detalle extra, le hicimos un pequeño corazón de tela relleno de los pelitos de su gatita. Cuando le enseñamos el peluche, le dijimos que debía ser ella quien le pusiera el corazón para terminarla.
Fue muy bonito, y la pobre lloró mucho. Pero valió la pena cada esfuerzo. ¿Cómo la veis vosotres? ^^
Ahora que sabemos que el patrón queda bien, podemos terminar a estos dos preciosos gatitos para nuestra patron! Ya tenemos los bordados diseñados y solo nos queda acabar de coserlos jejeje
Por otro lado, no lo subimos por aquí porque estábamos a tope con los dragones. Pero estos días también acabamos nuestro primer Kigurumi!!!
La verdad es que estamos mega orgullosas de cómo quedó. Fue una locura hacer todas las líneas a mano (no en aplique). Había cientos de piezas, y para que quedara mejor, tuvimos que planchar cada costura. Pero valía la pena, porque en persona el resultado final mejoraba un montón!!
También aprovechamos para probar detalles que nos llamaban la atención y al cliente le parecía bien. Como ponerle un gancho en la cola para aguantarla lejos del suelo al caminar. Podía tanto llevarse colgando en la cintura como en la muñeca. Aún queremos en el futuro añadir más extras, como unos guantes, pero eso lo iremos aprendiendo poco a poco~
¿Qué os parece a vosotres? La verdad es que para ser nuestro primer kigurumi, estamos súper contentas con el resultado final!!!
Por último, os acordáis del juego con el colaboramos llamado "Toymaker"? Ese juego donde eres un plushmaker que tiene una tienda de juguetes?
Pues os queríamos anunciar que por fin ha salido adelante su campaña de Kickstarter!!! Y vamos a trabajar con ellos para dos de sus recompensas!!
Por un lado, podréis pedir un peluche de su emblemática fresa hecha por nosotras, como la que visteis hace tiempo.Pero por otro lado, y el que nos hace más ilusión, es que podréis tener como recompensa física un Kit de DIY para coser vuestra propia fresa!!Fue una idea que les ofrecimos nosotras y nos hace súper felices que la aceptasen. Y es que qué regalo de reserva puede ser más acertado para un juego así??? >w< jejejeEl kit incluirá tela estampada, relleno, instrucciones y un pequeño kit de costura
Si os llama la atención, os animamos a echarle un ojo. Son un grupo indie pequeño, españoles y super majos. Su juego tiene pinta de ser super chill y entretenido. Hemos probado la demo y nos encantó~
Y hasta aquí de momento las actualizaciones. Tenemos varios peluches casi terminados, así que pronto os los compartiremos todos por aquí.También estamos preparando una nueva encuesta para elegir el nuevo proyecto de peluche para las clases. No son las recompensas de patrones, si no elegir el diseño que haremos desde cero con vosotros poco a poco en cada sesión. A ver cuál sale ganadora
