Synopsis: Githyanki warrior Lae'zel's day couldn't possibly be going any worse. Not only is she stuck aboard a wretched mind-flayer ship literally crashing in flames, fighting off opportunistic fiends trying to bite a chunk off the carcass, and grappling with a parasite in her brain that will surely kill her in just hours, but she's forced to work with a terribly flatulent cleric whose mouth is almost as insolent as her ass. If she gets out of this alive, she's going to need to learn what the heck "baked beans" are or why her putrid companion is blaming every gluteal warhead on them...Page Count: 41

Comments:Hey everyone, the time has finally come! I've had this wrapped for...honestly an inexcusable amount of time, just needed to hunker down and edit it. There were several points I was tempted to post it, but I resisted and got it all the way to where I initially planned, resulting in this monster clocking in at 40+ pages. I hope it's worth the wait!On that note, this story has significance as one of the first projects that myself and a frequent writing partner ever worked on. It's a little rough around the edges at moments, though I did touch it up as much as I could. It's interesting to see how writing styles change and improve over the course of time; in this story's case, we started writing it on 12/15/2023!!! Crazy. It's a wild ride and I think people are going to enjoy it, even if you're not familiar with Baldur's Gate 3 (but if that's the case, you should really fix that!). I'm fond of Shadowheart/Lae'zel as a pairing and I'm happy I was able to dedicate this to them. Given more time, I'm hopeful that one day I can write a continuation or sequel to this story, but we'll see! An anthology of ShadowZel's travels might be more likely.I've got lots of additional content coming down the pipeline! Just been really into Overwatch lately and it's still taking up a lot of my free time.
