Eden was thrown into the Void as the last piece of an intricate ritual. The blue lines on her white fur were emitting a dim light, sole glow in the infinite dark.
First she sensed a presence, something ancient and beyond mind and matter, then she saw multiple eyes opening and looking straight at her, feasting on her like a fine meal. Then the shape advanced slowly towards her, emerging as a tall dark woman of striking beauty, perfect and untouched. "Welcome my dear Eden" uttered Nyx, the Void given sentience. Her tone was motherly... and deeply wrong.
In the blink of an eye, she was next to Eden, lifting her chin to gaze in her light blue eyes and running her hand on the small of the girl's back. Her touch was not cold, nor hot, just magnetic, unescapable. Nyx's many eyes seemed to soften for a second. "Forgive me if I stare. I was told about you but I didn't know you looked... so much like her." Eden's heart skipped a beat.
