She was "not supposed to do it ever again". Those were Dr. Ziegler's firm words after she was caught Dimension Hopping.
"- What you could bring to these worlds, or worse, bring back from them, could have repercussions you are not ready to bear, Lieutenant Oxton.
- But I'm not touching anything! I've never met my own self either...
- This isn't Back to the Future Lena. Have you thought for a second what would happen if you travelled to a dimension where Earth is covered in lava? Or simply doesn't exist? What then? It's extremely dangerous!
- I can sense where I'm going to land Doc. It's like I know before I'm there.
- And what if one of the other Tracer decided to do the same and come to our world without a care for the consequences it may have? Would you be happy then?
- No. But other me aren't dickish Doc, they're me!
- They aren't. For all you know there's a version of you that terrorizes children.
- *Gasp* Never!
- Don't do it again Lena. I am not asking..."
Mercy's orders were effective, for a while. However, it didn't stop the young British hero from secretly hopping again. She was fascinated by the little differences she could find in those alternate realities. Salt that tasted sweet, boys being girls and even once, water being a solid element. She definitely came back thirsty from this one.
More than this, alternate dimensions represented an exhilarating feeling of freedom for Tracer. In these universes, she could do anything and never suffer the consequences. Lena started becoming careless, leaving traces of her passage behind her. Until she stumbled upon the most fascinating dimension yet. One minute she was her normal self, the next she was towering hundreds of meters tall above a megalopolis.
Before she could even realize what had happened, her feet sunk in the soft concrete, crushing entire blocks underneath her soles.
"I know I'm not supposed to do it but would you look at that! Careful world, Tracer's here! You're all so small I can't even see you from up here. You must be so weirded out right now. You've never seen me, I've never seen you and probably won't ever see you again. Yet, I'm ready to bet I'll be in your history books for a while! Alright, I'm going, didn't mean to crush your tiny little city, don't be mad."
And with that she disappeared. The world she had so casually walked on left stunned.
Somewhere, Lena was watching her TV, baffled by the images she was seeing.

Originally a test for a technique that Uschi3 kindly shared with me, I couldn't resist rendering it in high quality and process it when I saw the result. It basically allows me to transform Google Maps data into a 3D model I can use to make Mega/Giga scenes. A very promising concept...
