Inspired by Diccard's amazing Judgement series, I set out to create a badass super-abled of my own. Note that I don't use the term superhero here, for that would be lying. While there's space for size ideas mixed with superhero stuff, I also just love the concept of an absolutely unstoppable being like this.
There isn't much lore for her in place outside of the stuff I thought about while creating her design. As far as abilities go, all I know is that there's absolutely nothing on Earth that could even slow her down. The blink of eye would be enough time for her to set fire to all that's known to mankind. The people sharing her world just have to live with that knowledge, if they aren't too afraid to even think of it - ignorance truly is bliss.
Despite my lack of love for Snyder's approach to superhero filmmaking, I love the ideas he's brought surrounding superbeings' proximity to godhood compared to the people they're supposed to protect. Darkstar definitely takes inspiration from there, mixed with a good dose of every "anti-superhero shows" we've got lately - from The Boys to Invincible. There's just something to it.
Little tidbit of lore. The cracks around her eyes are skin structural damage caused by the heat and power that can emanate from her eyes whenever she beams something. I like to think about the fact that those beams are so powerful they can even hurt someone as godlike as she is. Of course, it heals instantly the moment she stops. Still, a good thought to terrify any mortal out there.
I have no idea what I could do with her or if she'll ever have a standalone piece. Still, I loved her chara design too much to keep it all to myself. Hope you like her too!
