ACHOO! Thanks, I'm a little better (at least enough to work!). I saw some yakuza/samurai references the other day and decided I wanted to draw a character with those cool-looking tattoos on a loose kimono. That was my goal. I don’t know when the Will-o’-Wisp joined the motif, but I guess I just find them cool as hell. And with that, I created a fallen criminal samurai who, in her final moments, regretted her cruel actions. But sometimes we do get second chances! I thought it would be cool to draw a redeemed samurai who merged with a spirit and found that precious second chance. Now she only fights evil spirits, with a blade that isn’t capable of hurting the living.
