Battle City Sorcerer
Yugi survived Duelist Kingdom, getting his Grandfather’s soul back, and rescuing the Kaiba brothers. A new threat came when a mysterious person tried to steal the puzzle. Yugi nearly died trying to protect Yami, it shook him. Yami decides to start teaching Yugi magic, so the boy could defend himself.
Chapter 1 Elements of Magic
Duelist Kingdom was all a trap partly to gain Kaba’s company but also gain Little Yugi’s Millennium Puzzle. To force Yugi into the game Pegasus trapped his grandfather’s soul into a card. He did the same thing to the Kaiba brothers, Mokuba to force Seto to into a fight with Yugi, then Seto after he was defeated.
Yugi faced Maximillion Pegasus and defeated his magic and even survived the shadow game. The Mind Shuffle was a good trick. Pegasus honored the deal and freed the souls he claimed, but apparently he was attacked and had his item stolen. The Millennium Eye was now lost and in the winds.
Shadi inspected Yugi’s mind and found the Puzzle’s defenses to be quite dangerous. Yugi helped him and Shadi left with a warning. With threats aiming for the Puzzle Yugi adopted getting a chain for it, to help keep it safe.
The next threat came swiftly as Bandit Keith was used as a Mind Slave. He had been found by a new enemy and was forced into submission by the Millennium Rod. Keith stole the puzzle, he was a huge man, and while Yugi had grown some he was still a short King, he was physically over powered and the puzzle taken. but the claim still belonged to Yugi.
By the ancient rules, ownership of the Puzzle could only be passed through victory. Yugi faced Keith in a duel, despite the rare cards and cheating Yugi was showing his skills as a duelist. The enemy thought this would be an easy match, but Yugi was proving why he truly was the King of Games.
Bakura another keeper of a Millennium Item, the Millennium Ring, stepped in and severed the strings controlling Keith. Bandit Keith lost his mind, he was begging for help. Yugi wanted to help but even with the Puzzle his ability to use magic was limited. He needed proper training.
The enemy regained control of Keith and forced him to smash the puzzle. Yugi struggled to get the pieces, and Bandit Keith went to attack him. Bakura swung in and knocked Keith out and helped gather the pieces. He fragmented his soul and infused it into one of the puzzle pieces.
Keith came to but was driven mad as the mysterious enemy tried to control him. His wild thrashing started a fire. Bakura left to get help. Yugi stayed trying to complete the puzzle again.
Joey and Tristan arrived to help. Bandit Keith fled in terror.
Yugi managed to solve the puzzle again and Joey and Tristan helped get the puzzle free from the post and rescued his cards from the fire. They got Yugi out and took him to the hospital. “You have to be more careful Yugi, I couldn’t stand it if something happened to you.” Joey told him.
“I’m sorry Joey.” He hung his head.
It wasn’t just that he got the puzzle stolen, it was also the fact he kept himself in a dangerous situation to protect the puzzle. As far as Joey was concerned Yugi’s life was more important than the puzzle. Even Yami was stunned at the lengths Yugi went through to protect him. The thought of Yugi dying for him made Yami sick to his stomach.
He recovered but the emotional damage still lingered. Yugi blamed himself for everything, even with Shadi’s warning, even with everything that happened. He’d faced both Pegasus’s and Yami Bakura’s shadow magic, and he was caught in a situation of danger over the puzzle once more.
And all this was just the beginning, they were in more danger now then ever before. Despite the strong bond Yami and Yugi had, their connection could be severed in ways Yugi might not be able to stop. Now they were facing an enemy, they didn’t know what he looked like and he could control people and use them as puppets.
Yami tried to console Yugi, but the boy was being consumed by his own guilt and weakness. Yugi felt like a failure, he had the puzzle stolen, his new chain used against him, then the smashing of the puzzle, the fire, Yugi had almost lost everything.
If Tristan and Joey hadn’t come looking for him, things would have ended badly. “I’m not strong enough…” The boy began to cry.
“Yugi…” Yami whispered. The boy had such a strong, brave, and pure soul. He was one worthy of being King/Pharaoh.
It was clear the enemy had a Millennium Item as well. In the past those with the items could wield shadow magic with great ease. There were those capable of using magic still, but the training was intense. It had to be. Without the protection of the millennium item one was opening up their soul to the darkness. One could have their soul corrupted, destroyed, or even consumed. Learning magic was very risky.
Yami was hesitant to bring this up, because he didn’t want to put Yugi at risk. Watching the boy tremble and cry, cursing his own weakness. So long as he had the puzzle, he would always be in some form of danger. “Yugi...there may be a way to help prepare you for the fights ahead.”
“What?” Yugi was willing to do anything.
“It can be risky, but I can train you to be a sorcerer.”
“You’ll...teach me magic?” Yami nodded.
“I didn’t think it was necessary because of our bond, but events have proved otherwise.” Even their Mind Shuffle gambit put Yugi in danger once Pegasus turned things into a shadow game. “You’ll need to train you mind, body and spirit.”
“I’ll do it!”
“Then get some sleep, and we can begin.” Yugi went to bed and Yami pulled them into the puzzle.
They entered Yami’s mind and the domain of the puzzle. “Magic’s core substance is visualization, you need imagination and belief to give magic form. Yugi never doubt yourself, I believe in you but you must believe in yourself. With your imagination you can become a powerful sorcerer.”
“I’ll do my best!” In the puzzle a shadow lurked.
Yami brought Yugi to a room. “First we must awaken your mystical abilities, I’ll do this for you, this is a beat of a life hack, but the enemy won’t wait for you to spend years unlocking your personal mysticism.”
“I trust you Yami.”
“This won’t be easy Yugi, it’ll be painful, but no matter what happens you must keep your senses and remain in this place.” Yugi steeled his resolve.
“Let’s do it!” Yami found Yugi’s mystical core, he channeled the Puzzle’s energy into it.

“AAAaaaaahhhhhHHHHHH!” Yugi’s screams echoed through the chambers of the puzzle. Even Yami Bakura was unnerved by the consistent wailing.
Yugi had markings all over his body, the marks glowed from his mystical core. This was linking his mind, body, and spirit. The boy writhed in agony.
Yami had to listen, unable to stop this, all he could do was pray to the gods. Mutou made it through the process. “You did it Yugi, I’m so proud of you.”
“I did it?” He was exhausted. “I did it!” The process took hours. Yugi was awakened by his alarm and had a very slow day at school.
That night Yami brought Yugi again into the puzzle. “Let’s find what element best suits you.” He gave Yugi special paper. “There are various elements, FIRE, WATER, EARTH, WIND, LIGHT, and DARKNESS.”
“Like the elemental types of the Duel Monsters.”
Yugi channeled his mana into the paper, it turned green and the edges slashed. “Your element is Wind.” Had the paper turned black and the edges crinkled he’d be Darkness, if the paper turned red and the edges burned he’d be Fire, if the paper had turned blue and the edges grown wet he’d be Water, if the paper had turned yellow and the edges turned to stone he’d be Earth, and if the element had been Light the paper would have turned white and the edges would have glowed.
Yami picked up the paper and he found flecks of gold dust along the edges of the paper. ‘It can’t be…’ He looked at Yugi in surprise.
“What is it?”
“Nothing, let’s continue and start your training.” He brought Yugi to another room where a chalice waited. It was filled with water. Mutou was to keep channeling his mana into the cup. As a wind type, he created a whirlpool in the chalice. Yugi had to keep the whirlpool going, to train his mana muscles.
In his sleep, he could train in his magic. While awake Yugi trained and worked out, strengthening his vessel. Joey nearly cried when Yugi asked him to work out together. Okay, he did cry, weeping manly tears.
To be continued….Fun at the Gym
Yugi and Joey are working at the gym. The boy explains he’s learning magic. Joey doesn’t believe at first but one sneeze leaves Joey bare ass naked.
