So instead of breaking up the Halloween story into two parts to keep to my usual release schedule, or just leaving y'all hanging until the 31st, I decided on something better. Only to bumble her way into laying down next to Aurora, sliding an arm under her head and pulling her into a soft, affectionate cuddle.
Entirely without thinking Aurora wrapped her arms around Sarah's body, nuzzling against her and letting out a long, pent up sigh. She nested her head in the crook of her friend's neck and quietly smiled at the simple pleasure of laying there beside her. Even before slowly intertwining her legs with Sarah's as she snuggled in closer and closer. After no more than a few seconds she was as close as could be and as comfortable as could be. Both of them basked in the softness of each other's embrace and the wordless contentment that always seemed to fall over them after they made love. Or at least that was what Aurora felt. She couldn't entirely speak for her friend but she could certainly sense the smile spread across Sarah's face and definitely feel how her companion held her. Sarah shifted into a slightly more comfortable position while Aurora stayed right where she was, utterly content and wholly unwilling to move. “So what else do you wanna do” Sarah eventually asked. “I'm assuming you don't want to just around naked all night long!”
Her friend's tone was entirely amused without any hint of disappointment or regret but Aurora still felt a little twinge of guilt, “Kind of... I-I mean we can watch some movies too if you want... but I'm happy just doing this... especially if we only have scary movies to watch.”
Immediately picking up on Aurora's shyness Sarah looked down at her, as much as that was possible, and teasingly said, “Seems like a waste of a good Halloween...”
Lifting her head to give Sarah and apologetic look Aurora eventually sat up and replied, “We can still do something fun! I-I don't want to be a total buzzkill or anything! Maybe we can watch one of the less scary movies or something? I'm sure they're not all super scary... right?”
“No they're all pretty scary!” Sarah laughed. Rolling onto her side and leaning on one elbow she grinned at Aurora for a moment before saying, “But I wasn't thinking about watching any movies or playing any games...”
“You weren't?”
“Nope.”

Before Aurora could finish her question Sarah rolled right off her bed and shakily sprang to her feet, hurrying to her bedside table and opening the bottom drawer.
