DESCRIPTION

What up Sonic Squad, just posting a little update so you guys know I'm still alive. I'm currently working on quite a few different projects at the moment, but you can expect to see multiple videos up on the main channel in March. Some of the stuff I'm working on right now is going to be for larger projects that probably won't be out till sometime later this year. I'd really love to try making some longer videos like my Chao one again, although that one took me quite a while to make.

Back in 2020 when I was working on that batch of videos I released in September I would often bounce between video projects, like I'd spend an entire day doing DK64 stuff, then the next day doing Space Station Silicon Valley work, etc. It helped me from getting burnt out on any one idea, and it was cool to try and find connections between them and find ways to tie them together.

Another reason I always take forever is I'm very self-critical with my videos and I'm always anxious about becoming one of those youtubers who gets worse over time, but I also realize being hyper self-conscious can basically it's own form of narcissism when you're so obsessed over details nobody else is going to notice, to the point where it can slow down production, so I'm trying to find a balance that allows me to do good work at a reasonable pace.

Anyways if you're cool enough to follow me on Patreon you probably already follow my twitter and were aware of this but I have been continuing to collaborate with other creators, guesting in videos and doing other fun stuff like that Live Debate with LS Mark about SA2 vs Heroes, and I also had the privilege of voicing "Tom" in Chapter 8 of Tails Gets Trolled. I also did a little streaming on Twitch last month and uploaded the vods to Youtube if you missed it. Now that I have the stream stuff set up I just need to work out a schedule to do it regularly, which I will do after the March videos are out.

Honestly even though I've been doing this for years there's still part of me that feels weird about the fact people like me enough to send me money. Like this might sound strange but please only give me money if you really, truly have some extra disposable income that doesn't need to go somewhere more important. I don't mind taking your money if you made a bunch on meme stocks and/or crypto, or maybe if you're some kind of rich Saudi oil baron, but if you're just trying to get by or are some dumb kid giving me your allowance please just keep that money and spend it on yourself.

I wish I was one of those cool content creators who has like a really awesome production pipeline and process for smoothly making one great video per month (or week), but my research and writing process is very messy and chaotic. I'm more of a release nothing for two and a half months then post a bunch of stuff at once kind of guy. I may not be consistent in terms of my release schedule but I hope to at least be consistent in terms of the quality of the stuff I do put out.

I really do have a lot of things in the pipeline, I just don't want to hype them up too much or talk about them when they're still gestating and forming as to not give people the wrong idea. Like I am currently going through every episode of all the Sonic shows, but I'm not sure the exact shape and style that video is going to end up as. Anyways, I know I say this every time, and every creator always says it, but I really am incredible grateful that you choose to give me your money. Thank you guys so much for your continued patience and patronage.
