At LAST! HUFF HUFF I can't believe the last time I posted an update for this series was JAN of last year! To be fair, I think Jan-July of 2025 were some of the roughest times for me so I hope you'll forgive me for taking so long. T_T
I've had a lot of time to think (cook) on this series and I'm pretty excited to reveal some of the quirky concepts I've thought up, specifically with all the chess pieces and how they play into the series' power system.
If you don't recall what happened in Ep 5 this current ep is a FLASHBACK to give some insight into Sureya's upbringing and her relationship with her father. I went through the effort to slap some color onto these panels because a) I worried it would be too confusing if the flashback is the same color as the earlier eps and b) I want every ep from now on to be a little bit closer to a "final product". Things such as armor/hair color/bg design are decisions that have to be made eventually so instead of trial+ error during the finalizing stage I would rather make these decisions over time and go back to clean the earlier eps when a cleaner/more concrete version of the chars exists.
UWU I'm sorry if this ep is not as juicy/exciting as the previous. Let me know what you think about the colors! New ep will be out in a few days!
