Hello again!
Writing a book never feels like it's going fast enough. I wrote the original Good Intentions on Literotica at lightning speed, as it turns out—because I had no idea what I was doing, my expectations were low, and I was getting constant positive feedback on the internet. (That part is basically crack, if it's not obvious.) Since then, everything has felt... slow. Too slow. Slower, too, when I consider that these days, my writing creates my income.
Time is money, and everything takes too damn long.
So it made me super happy the other day when I remembered a good measure for my progress on Grand Theft Sorcery. I recalled telling my editor I was at 51k words, so I looked back at our chat and found the date: Jan 15th.
As of Feb. 29th, I'm at 91k words. That, by my standards, is really good progress... and I feel like I'm picking up steam. In considering all the ground I still want to cover, the book may only be at its halfway point, so I don't know when this book gets done and printed. Regardless, it's moving much faster as I get into it. For a book with lots of chase scenes, that feels appropriate.
Here's Chapter Seven. Enjoy!
