250~ images
Set looks mostly good (writing this before the set is actually done). I pulled this set out of rotation early because it was turning out kind of badly. After going through and cleaning the set though it cleaned up way better than I thought it would.
So, I decided to leave in some of the more obviously Ai artifacts like weird framed pictures in the background that don't look the best. Usually I'd just remove them by painting over them in a way to make them look like they were never there. They don't really hurt the images, I just was originally trying to maintain this almost pseudo mindset of removing anything too obviously Ai looking, purely because it looked like Ai. I decided that if I'm not actually making a concerted effort to make the whole image non-Ai looking then I'm sort of just wasting time on the less important parts of the image.
I decided to finish the set before continuing to type this, because I sort of realized that I didn't have more in mind to say and thought I should just finish it and think about it for a while. I set that 250~ image thing at the top when it was looking like it was going to be about 265, then it got to the last 30 images and I ended up deleting like half of them and had to get creative to meet the 250 bar I set for myself.
So, I know better what to avoid with the tiled detailer. Images too close to the viewer/lens typically try to add too much detail in a section thats kind of just blank and suppose to be blank. Now that I know that, I should probably figure out a way to add logic to the tiling process so I can subdivide on more detailed areas. I explored a bit of the process already, and I've narrowed it down to edge density detection in order to select an area to receive extra attention automatically. So, stuff like complex clothing or hands should come out better (in theory) without me having to airbrush the hands myself every time. Auto detailers just aren't good enough when they can't detect something too mangled to be recognizable as a hand.
