First of all I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who's stuck around over the past couple years. For me it's been a rough time and I've been keeping my head down and doing the best I could.
About two years ago I started to slip behind on the Sexy Select queue but it wasn't a deep hole just yet. As you know each month I take four requests from the previous month's select post and draw those ideas. Four drawings a month is more than reasonable to accomplish or at least it should have been. It was due to my own incompetence and laziness at the start that got me behind. I would put a lot of effort into the ideas and draw things that took too long to complete. Then each month another four requests were added on to the work load . At first it was just maybe one or two extra I had to do a month, but it added up. After some restructuring of how to handle each request I was chipping away at the queue again, but then life hit me in the face with some ol' bullshit.
My family was going through a particularly hard time and I had to do what I could to help. It fucked with my mental health big time. I can easily say it was one of the hardest years of my life to deal with and I am still dealing with the fallout today. That year was pretty much a wash because of that. The queue got pushed back even further right before I was getting ready to finally catch back up. So I spent this past year or so doing whatever I could and going through all kinds of burnout and exhaustion to get what I could done.
Eventually, with a big thanks to my best friend, he helped give me advice to restructure how I work and think again. Without them I would not be here and I would probably have given up at some point on the queue as a whole. I kept my head down and worked and worked and worked and we're finally all caught up to the current month.
Now that we're out of this hell hole I dug for myself we can begin to move on to even more cool things. Within a month, I imagine, we should be taking commissions once again. How I plan on doing that is only having 5-10 slots up front and when they're filled, they're filled until they're done. I'll talk more about that when I nail things down though and it's coming up sooner.
Since I can complete the four images for the month in a short amount of time I have a lot of spare time in the month to draw other things. I plan on drawing personal things to share on here as well as things tailored to what I imagine you all want to see. There will be a lot more drawings that aren't just requests and are hopefully exciting to everybody.
I also have some things from a few years ago on here that never were completed I plan on drawing. There was a poll winner for a Melony mini doujin that was never delivered on. So if there's anyone here who even remembers that it should be here soonish.
I will be looking forward to all the new drawings to come and I hope you do too. Thank you all again for the support it really has meant the world to me. Especially with how hard shit's been the past couple years. I'll keep doing my best as that's all we can really do.
