The above video our antagonist's dramatic entrance.
I've been grappling with how to do the butt trails, and there's two types in the video. The first two butts have a trail made in after effects which looks cool but is quite rigid in what I can do with it and consistently crashes the program. The rest of them use a 4 frame cycle made in Animate. I'm going to do the trails in Animate, mostly because of the crashing tbh.
Here's sketch and animation gifs for some action shots.
I haven't animated sword swinging action like this for a while, I'd like to do more.
Our heroes must suffer more if they are to taste that sweet meth.
I was going to say this is the most inviting meth I've ever painted but I think it might be the first time I've actually shown meth in this series.
I hope everyone had a nice end of year/xmas/holiday break!
I've been thinking a lot about how unfeasible it is to come up with one big polished cartoon every 2-4 months. An idea I saw expressed and I don't know if it's true, but with widescale adoption and familiarity of digital tools, and also AI coming in, polish has become more common place. I do tend to just stick to my style and seldom deviate, but recently I've been thinking of trying some other forms. I tried simplifying with the Manwhore vs Femboy short I made in April, but I don't think that was it. So I might do something a bit weird after finishing Meth Orcs.
