Facial close ups and pew pew backgrounds (I don't know the term) are a nice staple of fight animes when you want to hype a match, and I will not be passing over this classic trope.

I thought I'd finish the first scene by now but I'm still waiting for some lines and slowly adding some things. Instead I'm animating the action shots near the end.
I'm using slow motion a fair bit, I'll probably slow the crowd background as well. In the past I've changed colours when we enter slow motion, I might do that in other shots but it doesn't feel necessary for this one.
The fight is getting dirty and Fernando breaks out one of his muskiest moves.
Here's a colour change but it's to convey pain instead of slowing time. I want to look at ways to add impact to the knee hitting Fernando's groin. There's a number of ways to go about it.
The context here is not quite what you might expect looking at it, Fernando realises that he's falling for a distraction technique. Here's another slow motion part but this time I might change the colours to help convey that, I haven't decided yet.
