Hello, hello! Yeah, I pretty much knew I wouldn't be able to write a diary entry every day, but I was feeling optimistic, I don't know. What about once a week, the day Webtoon posts my episodes? That way we can chat about the fresh episode, which can be fun, I hope.

Dear diary,
Since we’re in the final stretch of the story, every episode is an important episode. I’m finishing “Sunrise” and boy, OH BOY, things are happening, and I can’t wait it to be published!! This story is not like Miss Abbott, where there was barely any drama. This one is having angst, and the feelings are all over the place, and I need much more time to think about every episode to convey all I need the character say and do.
I believe the second part of Lady Liar (from episode 60) is better in every way than the first part, and I just realized it’s because the characters have finally matured in my mind. When I made Miss Abbott for Webtoon, I had known Cati and Andreas for years, and their story was already mature. I’m not saying it came up perfect, not at all, but writing it felt easier than writing Adara and Bertrán, who I had to make from scratch. Anyway, I’m enjoying these last episodes so much, and I hope everybody likes them as much as I do.
Let’s analize today’s episode, shall we?
“Burn this into your mind” is about Adara’s background. Her family is not exactly middle-class, they’re not there, but she had access to books and lived in a rented house with her mom and grandad. When I was starting this story, I hadn’t decided anything about Adara’s family, but I didn’t want to make her an orphan like Cati, so I thought I’d decide it later. And one day I thought her mom has to be alive, but they were separated because… well, I didn’t know yet. I was setting different aspects of her, but until the moment I had to write this episode I didn’t know she was a very young single mother.
I’ll talk more about her eventually, so I don’t want to tell anything else for now, but I don’t see her as a selfish person or a gold digger at all. She’s a young mom in a small town, in the nineteenth century, and she needs to get out of there and give her daughter a better life. She knows her looks are her bigger asset, and yes, she’s maybe gullible and a bit of an airhead, talking about parties and believing she’ll find a nice dad to Adara, but she’s not a bad person. We see her later in life, tired of looking for the gallant man she thought she’d easily find in the city, tired of parties, and knowing that Horacio Agrio (which means sour) is probably her last chance.
I regret the last scenes in the flashback though: I think they’re rushed, and Adara decides to leave too quickly. Also, I shoud’ve shown her mom’s pain, but I didn’t notice any of this until now that the episode is out, so… 😅
And about Elicia: we see some of her background as well. She lives in a pension, working here and there, but she sees a lost girl and helps her. Asking for money (or a pretty hat) in return? Yes, but those are the rules of the streets.
