Howdy everyone! I hope those of you who got their hands on v0.15.3 are having a fun time!

But now, we look ahead to the final major content update for v0.15 & Episode 1!

Content of v0.15.4

What do I mean by "Final Major Content Update"? Well, this will be the final build to add new scenes and will serve as the ending of Episode 1. It will not be our final build, since we plan on having one or two post-content updates focusing on adding features and prepping for Ep 2.

The update will be 6,729 words long, which is an average read time of 27 minutes.

It will feature a lewd scene, a new location, and a character introduction.

For those wondering, this is entirely new content. Nothing in this update is reused or recycled.

Illustration

All of the illustrations we have planned for the next update are ready to go! There is always the chance that, through testing and reading, we decide to add more. But at the moment, we have 3 cinematic moments, 7 lewd scenes, and 5 backgrounds.

Animation

Koth is already underway, creating the first of two lewd animations. The first one is very complex, comprising six distinct poses that Koth will animate to create a fluid scene. Then the last image will be its own animation. It's a very ambitious scene!

We also have three cinematic moments to animate. Erassdz, our other animator, is still animating stuff for v0.15.3. Once he is done, we'll switch him to v0.15.4.

Since we have 5 weeks this month to get it done, we are relieved at the extra time and hope we can get it all in there.

Coding

Lotus is mainly working on features and bug fixes. We don't know if we will have these ready for v0.15.4, but we are working to implement Guided Mode, the Backer Code, and the SFW mode.

We are also trying to tackle bugs, such as the issue where, after hiding the UI, the dialogue can advance, and the text speed won't update unless you leave the game.

Normally, we start compiling the episode closer to week 3 when some animations are done.

Music

We have commissioned Lolurio for one more music track, but have fully paid the copyright license for the other 13 tracks he has already done. Once the last track is completed and paid for, we will start producing the first Volume of the Original Soundtrack, which will be available for purchase/download!

This soundtrack will be very important as it will help fund more music in the game. At the moment, when we need music, it dips into my savings since the game doesn't quite make enough.

We'll talk more about it when Episode 1 is done, since releasing it now would be spoilery.

Writing

Episode 2 is 94% written! All that is left is three lewd scenes, two of which are part of divergent paths that need to be finished, and finally, the end of the episode player recap.

Episode 2 is utterly massive, currently at 55k words. I'm not sure what the release schedule will look like, but I'll work on it this month once I wrap up the script. Once that is done, I can see how many scenes we need to do and what assets we need.

I imagine most of what I do this month is plan for the future.

Wrap Up

Honestly, it has been a crazy few months. We've been very blessed that, even when times have been tough, we haven't had to delay yet. Episode 1 is coming to a close, and there is something so beautiful about that.

For veteran players, the end of episode 1 will be quite a twist and a hot topic of discussion. New players who joined us for v0.15 will probably go "Oh, cool!" and not understand the weight of what we're doing.
