Welcome back to another progress report for the final content update of Episode 1!
Sort of a slow week, but let's dive in.
Coding
Adding in all the sprite animations for the next update. We have a new sprite, so their animations need to be programmed and figured out.
Working on fixing the bug where a character moves into frame, and their hair goes a bit crazy. Trying to find the root of this, so there is less weirdness.
We killed a couple of bugs and are so close to 100% bug-free!**For Now!
Animation
I actually haven't had a chance to check in with the animators, BUT lewd animations are at 71%! This week, I want to touch base on the Cinematic Moment animations and see how they are coming along.
Writing/Planning
I didn't work on Ep 1 this past week, but Frisbee did! She just finished redrafting the Estro scenes and is about to move on to the Nemtech meeting. This week, I hope to get caught up to her since I pivoted last week.
I was working on a few things that all intertwine. I wrote 3k words for Episode 2, now bringing the script to a whopping 60k words! And there are still two scenes to write.
The biggest thing I worked on was making the plan for Episode 2 and for the eventual release of the game. This is something I am going to go into detail on in a series of posts in early August, culminating in a livestream Q&A on Wednesday, August 12th, at 9 AM EST over on our YouTube Channel.
Since August is our catch-up month, where we are not releasing new story content, but rather trying to tackle stuff we missed in Ep 1 and prep for Ep 2, I think it'll be a good time to go over the future of Hazelnut Latte. We have a lot of info to dole out, and I am taking the time to make sure I have it all worded correctly, AND it makes sense.
Hopefully you can join us for that Q&A! If not, it'll be on YouTube.
Wrap Up
And that's it for now! We are working hard trying to finish up Episode 1, but we are also planning for Episode 2.
I need to get back to work, but feel free to ask any questions either here or on Discord.
Thank you all for your continued support, and stay Rad!
