He is cocky and overconfident, making him a bit insufferable at times unless your name is Aaron. Deahyun and Aaron became close friends after the first semester at the university, and while Deahyun is usually mean to most people, he has a soft spot for Aaron. He kinda reminds him of his little brother, whom he has a very complicated relationship with now. His family is very traditional, and his father can be especially toxic and bigoted at times, so while Deahyun is gay, he has trouble accepting it, keeping his feelings to himself. His father's expectations suffocate him and have made him put on this toxic macho facade to feel safe while making others suffer to reaffirm his position. One of those victims was his little brother, whom he would constantly belittle and treat badly just to please his father, until his brother left and stopped talking to him. Daehyun is the kinda character you hate at the beginning, and when you get to know him, you might start to understand where it all comes from. He eventually grows as a person during the story and becomes a really kind guy, ashamed of his past actions.
