Here's my little attempt at a (mostly) wordless comic strip!
always fun to limit myself in order to stretch the ol' creativity muscles, and removing direct dialogue is certainly a challenge for me, as i feel that my work relies heavily on it's written humour to accompany its silly visuals. i believe this is a lovely first attempt!
t'wasn't an easy task though (hence the delay since my last post), but a fun creative exercise!
included here is the original sketch, where you can see, the main idea stayed relatively the same while the final product differs slightly, mainly, the interaction between Jenny and Mimi, where before Mimi was simply shrouded in Jenny's large breasted shadow, but ultimately i opted for a more, "direct" approach, where Jenny is so oblivious (cute) that she cannot feel her lifted chest resting upon Mimi's head. aren't they silly?
also, here's the stylized "emojis" i used for Jenny' speech! Designed with a different art style in mind, to give Jenny's "world view" a fun, different feel! Just thought it'd be fun to do, and it was! i'd love to give everyone a distinct art style for their inner thoughts, but coming up with 8 distinct art styles is quite the tall order, so, let's not get carried away, hehe
