Alright, I was busier than expected today; it's technically still March here so it counts... right? Sorry for the delay on content/news this month, it's been really messy as I'll explain below.
ABOUT PROGRESS ON THE GAME:
I've been working on my art studies, mainly trying to learn animation to see how doable it is for MaM, so far simple loops are easy enough; I have some stuff sketched up that I think looks good. I'll start this month a more complex sequence to see how much I can do at the moment.
Last month I selected some potential VA's for Liz and Cyrillia, this month I reduced the scope to some candidates.
Some of you may remember that Liz already had some stuff voiced and I yes, I have some scritps voiced, but there is one problem: After working with Alice's VA I may have set the bar higher than I initially had. And even if Liz's VA could do the hypno pretty well, I feel like she's not as expressive as I wanted her to be, so I'm looking for some more options before implementing one into the game.
(Not sure if I mentioned that in previous posts but for new readers, that's the TLDR).
Now onto some bad news. This month there was some issues with house payments, and earlier this month I had to give around 2k dollars from my savings to my parents to fix that. As you can imagine, that messed up my budget for March, resulting in me having to take some money from MaM to get across this month without bigger issue.
Due to that, I haven't been able to really start anything related to commissioning other people for assets or voice acting. I'll try to fix it during next month but I may have to take a couple sketch comms for that.
Sorry that it's not great news, I'll try to catch up to schedule next month.
ABOUT CONTENT FOR APRIL:
I'll be uploading more drawings I have saved up, which is nice but I also will be showing some progress on my animation studies. For April I plan to upload 2 animations to show you a preview on what I'll try to get for MaM.
Leaving that aside, I'll try to finish everything else I have pent up before opening commissions; this time it will be sketch only most likely since I just want to do quick drawings to recharge the game's budget. That being said, I still would rather just avoid the extra work so maybe I can just adjust my irl budget so I have the VA money ready.
I'm a little unsure if I mentioned everything so if there's any doubts about anything let me know; again, sorry for the delay on this post and it being somewhat short news, I'll try to pull myself together during April.
