We've been working on stuff together for a while now, so we decided to make an illustration collab for the lols
We were trying to think of a theme and saw Alice day was soon so yeah
We started coming up with ideas and mogy sketched them out. For each concept we both had our own image of it so the left side was mogy's ideas and the right side was mines.
In the end we chose the last one because it was the easiest and we were short on time. Mogy also wanted to color on paper so we couldn't do anything too big.
I had to sketch it after mogys to make it more my style and using his as a base was a mistake because it was messing me up during the sketching phase but I managed
Lining was hell cause I had about 2 days to do it and mf mogy was nagging me the whole damn time to finish it or else... u_u (btw idk what the or else was cause he never told me what would happen if I didn't finish lining)
When I was finishing up the line work my fucking hand was hurting from the same motion or something so I blamed mogy cause he's mean to me
Mogy: I've been doing more watercolor lately and the biggest mistake was not planning out the colors beforehand so I made sure I did this time.
Mogy: I tested printing out the line work on some watercolor paper to make sure the dimensions were right, the first time it got printed too low in the sheet, but the 2nd was fine.
Due to my paranoia of recent watercolor fuck ups I decided to do another test run, surprisingly it came out well even tho it wasn't intended to be the final version.
Mogy: I wanted to do the final version for real this time, but quickly messed up and gave up on it, the original was better. I was running out of paper, I only had a sheet left so I asked Yumi if I should try one more time or not....
^ I made him do it again because he made me suffer for this so he should too and the dip printed it upside down on the final version that he actually was liking
Mogy: The last atttempt was penciled first, colored after with the idea of printing the linework on top at the end. I fucked up big time and printed the lines upside down.....Thankfully I had scanned the colors, so I just put it together digitally.
Despite mogys nagging and my pain and suffering and then his pain and suffering we had a lot of fun working together and coming up with oc interactions like this so expect more collabs from us in the future Ψ( `∀)(∀´ )Ψ
