I started this comic back in 2023-2024 making the script and having drafts drawn out. I am dropping this project and it won't be finished so I'm finally sharing the full story and history with everyone after all these years
I am pretty sad about it because this all started falling apart when I started to get comments about my art being western and how no one will care about my crappy chibi style or whatever from past friends. I had 2 more pages left until this happened so I edited it non stop to try and fix the faces, even recently because the second version was still not good enough
Not only was I changing the faces to be less western but I also had to flip my panels because I had planned to release this in Japanese + Agitha lost her fat eyebrows
The 4th page had an entire dialogue + panel change cause I realized it wasn't flowing well until after I had finished it the first time (that's what I get for not putting in the text whatsoever until the page was fully finished)
I have been very burnt out from redoing these pages over and over again, it's now been to a point where I have felt very doubtful if the comic/dialogue was even good to begin with. It makes me sad that something I was passionate about was ruined for me like this... Maybe in the future I will try again
Anyways, I actually have so much to share still! This comic has went through so much thought, changes and it's based off my old comic from when I started drawing in middle school lol
Rain and Cloud were originally going to have dialogue ripped from my old comic, but this comic was about Jack and his perspective so it was removed and kept quiet in the background (now you all know what these two were saying to each other lol)
Jack actually went through the most change out of everyone lol... He's like a completely different character now
I was going to fully try to do a 1 on 1 with my old comic to make it fit Jack's backstory but I realized that you wouldn't even feel bad for him or even understand why he acts the way he does now if he was just as annoying as a kid. Being a shy loser timid baby made much more sense for him.
Middle school comic Jack was still different and already had a missing eye, but since this was for the backstory I tried to make it into how he lost his eye in reference to how my old comics went (which made no fucking sense)
There was like 7 pages of this old comic and Jack was literally only in 2 pages, then he just fucked off I guess? I seriously thought he was more involved but I guess not lol... and Rain used to be the main character (I would draw her so much but all those drawings are lost now) lol so much has changed...
To end this on a higher note, Jack is my everything and these ocs/story is everything to me. I may have dropped this (even though it was so close to finishing) due to bs but I actually do have this alternative story thing I want to do instead featuring Jack, Agitha and Bebe! More illustration focused rather than a full on comic, we will see how things go in the future
