DESCRIPTION

I've always loved the elegant look of elvish architecture from fantasy worlds, so I wanted to create a crystal lamp that felt like it belonged in an ancient hall or somewhere in Middle Earth.

This lamp features a glowing crystal centerpiece surrounded by a decorative frame. The design prints completely support-free and is easy to assemble.

The model is split into 4 parts:

Crystal Diffuser

Lamp Frame

Light Holder

Twist-On Light Cap

Assembly

Print all 4 parts.

Glue the Light Holder into the Lamp Frame.

Insert your LED puck light into the holder.

Secure the light by twisting on the Light Cap from underneath.

Slide the Crystal Diffuser into the frame.

You can also just print in clear translucent and then use RGB puck lights!

LED Lights I Used

For the lamp shown in my photos, I used these LED puck lights:

Tea Light Version

I've recently added a tea light cap option. While the remote rgb tea lights I've used in the pictures are currently sold out, I've also used these are they great.

Budget RGB Option (Includes Remote)

If you print the crystal using a clear translucent filament, these RGB lights can create some really cool color-changing effects. It's just not as bright as the other led puck light.

Print Settings

The included 3MF profile is what I used for my prints:

0.20 mm Layer Height

2 Walls

7% Gyroid Infill

No Supports Needed

IMPORTANT- I have updated the 3mf, but if you're slicing the file yourself, change the inner wall width of the crystal to 0.4 for a cleaner look.

I also slowed down the print speeds in the 3mf profile, especially on the lamp frame, to improve reliability and reduce the chance of failures.

Print Time

On my Bambu Lab A1 (slowed down):

Approximately 12 hours total print time

Approximately 280g of filament
