Hi folks <3
The Kunoichi HMV is coming together, yet a bit slower than usual. I've had a busy month, and the issue with older clips/material has caused some difficulties as I expected. But timeline looks pretty solid so far.
There's also something that has demotivated me for a could of weeks, as a 3D creator whose art I highly appreciate accused me of art theft. We came to terms with the situation and it's fine now, but this issue has bothered me a bit ever since I started the Patreon page. The thing is, even though my HMVs are created using material that is freely available to everyone on sites like Rule34 and this should in my understading fall under fair-use, there is still the moral issue of benefiting monetarily from other people's art. So I kinda see their point. I would like to hear if you have any opinions or insight on this, and should I change things up as a content creator?
Personally for me, HMV videos and compilations from creators like Rondoudou and Rawsource have been one of the best ways to discover amazing 3D artists that I might not have found otherwise, and have even ended up supporting their Patreon afterwards. This is also why I try to credit the artists as accurately as I can, to help people find and maybe support them as well. Still, I'm morally conflicted with this issue and wouldn't want to disrespect any artists. Sorry for the long post - I would just like to hear your take on this.
