This update introduces powerful new workflow automation and surgical bug fixes for PAC injection. We’re moving closer to public release with the introduction of Attire Deletion and On-Screen Keyboard support.
New Features
1. Smart Attire Deletion
You can now fully manage your attire slots directly within the UI. No more manual hex editing or file renaming to clean up a slot.
How to use: Right-click any attire in the Details Panel → Select "Delete Attire #X" → Confirm.
What happens under the hood:
File Cleanup: Automatically deletes the associated .pac files (Ring and Entrance) for that specific attire.
Auto-Shifting: If you delete an attire in the middle of a list (e.g., deleting #2 of 5), GENESIS automatically renumbers and renames the remaining PAC files to fill the gap.
Binary Sync: The misc01 COS table is updated instantly, decrementing the count and shifting 16-byte entries to maintain games alignment.
System Refresh: The Universal Alternate Attire Unlock file is updated, chunk0.def is regenerated, and chunk0.arc is truncated so the game sees the changes immediately without a restart.
2. Integrated On-Screen Keyboard
For those using handhelds or touch monitors, GENESIS now supports the native Windows Touch Keyboard (TabTip).
Automatic Trigger: When enabled in settings, the keyboard will automatically pop up whenever you click into a text field or entry box.
Toggleable: Head to Settings > General to turn the On-Screen Keyboard on or off. Changes take effect immediately without needing to restart the app.
