Updated 3/31/24: Fixes a number of bugs, including but not limited to the White Yarn being missing, Sims using the Spinning Wheel as a table, increasing the value of crafted yarn and thread, and a last exception "tuple index out of range".
Sul-sul! I'm back with another functional object mod. :) This is an animated spinning wheel that allows you to craft thread and yarn, optionally using the wool from Cottage Living.
If you have Cottage Living or Nifty Knitting, the recipes will now require Thread and Yarn instead of Wool. You can also purchase these objects from Buy Mode if you'd rather not craft them.
There is an additional optional package called Aroura's Curse. This will allow spellcasters to "Cast Spinning Wheel Curse" on newborns in the bassinet, which will curse them to prick their finger on a spinning wheel when they become teens. Thankfully, pricking their finger will only cause them to immediately fall asleep. Make sure to have a spinning wheel on the same lot as them to see it happen autonomously!
Requirements
While technically this mod is technically base game compatible, the thread and yarn created will only be decorative if you don't have Cottage Living or Nifty Knitting, so it's recommended to have one or the other. The optional Aroura's Curse package requires Realm of Magic and the XML Injector (if you don't already have a copy, you can get it here.)
One Known Limitation: Sometimes when crafting, the progress bar won't progress - but the interaction is still progressing. It takes from 20-35 minutes to spin a spool of thread or ball of yarn.
