devlog #41, <em> :3 </em>

I KNOW I said I was going to take a break but I am apparently insane. (I am taking it easy, though. Taking the pressure off and not keeping up with regular devlogs does a lot of good for my nervous system for some reason, so thank you, eternally, for letting me do that. )
The legal separation from my ex went to hell. Apparently all he had to do was submit a falsified document and now I just don't have the funds to pursue this legally anymore... Bleugh. I felt like I had to focus on something that brings me joy. Hence... I decided to take a very, very basic evening-class in webdev now. (I have been doing it for a few weeks. hehe.) SO. evil laughter and ominous smoke coming from my house, caramelldansen playing; bats and explosions and lava and confetti. etc.

What you are looking at is what will become the codex. Right now I am just focused on learning the best practices within HTML/CSS, so it might look very basic to you but I am learning so much and instead of being completely overwhelmed when trying to code a twine game, I actually know what I am looking at!! And I can make the code do the things I want myself!!
I cannot tell you how much I needed some structured learning for this. I really tried the self-taught route but the information out there is so... much and so differentiating that my head just exploded when introduced to a new concept. Thank you all, truly, for not begrudging me the time I want to take to really learn what I need to. Hopefully that will lessen the need to flail around so desperately when developing ouro. <3
