The Infinity Sword is gold as a homage to the Ducktales episode where the Golden Goose covers the world in a contagious wave of gold.

This is a shameless Final Fantasy X reference, including all the unnecessary belts.

The short-haired orc in the sweater was a very small nod to a real friend who has short-hair and owns at least one sweater.

Rapier Tapir was for a friend who loves tapirs. Turned out everyone else loved him too, so he grew into a main character. In hindsight I should have made him the black and white kind of tapir so less people called him a warthog.

I haven't seen Attack On Titan season 2 and beyond. This was in no way a reference to the Cart Titan, but it gets brought up all the time.

Some characters have a trait called "Sharp Eyes" which lets them see Sword Souls. Not everyone can - that's why he points it out here.

The top of the Travel Goblin's cane is vaguely hilt-shaped on purpose.

Cutter's turtleneck is a little nod to Cloud Strife. Glaive's village was destroyed by a fire dragon and an ice dragon clashing, but I never figured out how to make that episode funny enough to slot in.

Lake Tang and the Fungeon are in the same grassy region around Hiltshire, the mainest setting of the series.

If you look carefully, there's Lake Tang.

Sickle is based loosely on a real person.

Everyone called the bald guy Black Stabbeth so I rolled with it.

This sci-fi episode was for May the 4th. Really High Elves live on the moon, so they actually originated on the world below and became aliens.

Baltad and Greg appear on background flags, but it's generally established later on that Kargob is the only known God among mortals. King Hilton has talked to Baltad though?? Also that's Smith standing behind Xiphos.

There's a banner for what might have ended up being Argok, but his design changed to be more unique.

Baltad's Sword has curse runes on it. I think it must say "FIRE" but I'll have to dig out my language notes. Relentless Omens must have corrupted it somehow - some lore even I don't know about.

I drew the lineart way too thick in this episode, it's always bothered me.

The Sun setting in the background is the wrong shape now. Don't think about it too hard - I'll retcon it one day.

This episode was written by Luke, the game designer of Clusterduck. I added the Mystery Ashes sight gag, which I think overshadowed his punchline a little. Sorry Luke.

It's not very clear, but Knife is on the hunt for a cure for her wife being turned into a baby and she's asking everyone. The existence of the Sword Library seems to contradict the Kingdom running out of swords to fight Xiphos - so I have to assert that it's filled with weapons far too powerful to unleash.
