My taxes are done, the skies have parted and I can get out of Survival Mode and focus on Thriving again! With a clearer head, I've emailed back a few people hoping to work with me on new projects and written a delusional list of goals to get done while I'm still young and handsome.I went to a Game Developers meetup and met a bunch of industry people this week. RPG Maker is deleting its forums, which means 15 years of knowledge and support is going up in smoke. It feels like a pretty significant setback on my pragmatic plan to use a basic engine, so I'll be having a hard think about what to do now. I do all my comic work on a Surface Pro and I might really have to consider getting a powerful gamedev rig set up for everything else.
I've deleted my Fables account as a first step towards shrinking my online Empire. No hard feeling towards the platform, but I want to focus on quality over quantity, and reliability over virality.I've purged over half of all my old Patreon posts and crunched down some collections into single posts.
