November Update (+8animations)

Hello,

Last month I said I wanted to release two smaller package updates, and at the time I already had a pretty solid idea of what the first one would be. In the most recent Sims 4 DLC, Adventure Awaits, a spinning workout bike was introduced. As soon as I saw it, I thought: well, this is exactly the object I needed back when I created that whole bicycle seat sequence.

Naturally, I assumed it would be a piece of cake to transfer those animations onto the new spinning bike. But it wasn’t. For some reason, I had to completely redo the entire bike object animation for each stage. And since the spinning bike’s shape is slightly different from the regular bicycle, I also had to modify and adjust every animation.

It was already taking much longer than I expected, but I committed to it fully as I wanted to use the new Maxis animations included with the spinning bike to create an additional, more intensive stage.

Then, since the spinning bike doesn’t have a back wheel, I realized I could remove the stool and put the sub in a different position. That led to three more stages.

Unfortunately, this whole update requires the new DLC Adventure Awaits, since that’s the only way to get the spinning bike object (its in-game name is something like “Gluttesomething,” I believe).

I’m really sorry about that, as you know, I always try to avoid making animations for DLC-locked objects.
