Thanks for your patience on the process video upload! This was a big one. You may or may not be able to tell, but I made a new pen for this project that was slightly more uniform in width with a more blunt tip, and I was constantly switching between that one and my regular tapered pen. Often in the same panel! It's only like 3 pixels' difference but apparently it matters a lot to me lol. I think the more blunt one is ideal for far-away shots to stop me from making extra-fine detail that just won't show up when it's viewed in its entirety. I had to thicken up my linework layers in general because when I'm doing black and white, I find the lines need to be stronger anchors than they do in color. I love delicate lines so I've had to really make sure I'm doing what the art needs instead of what I'm used to. I feel like I'm learning a lot.
It's also just been so good to draw this comic. I'm delighted with how much you guys love it too. Attention, closeness, a kind gesture, they all feel like hot iron on Clover's skin and in his mind and Halsin is not letting up. More parts to come!
