Brothers! Time for another Flashgitz Friday! What, we missed a few Fridays? Well don’t worry my greedy little piggies, we have plenty of concept art slop you can stuff your face with.
Yeah you like that, don’t you?
Okay stop drooling.Because of what we learned during the first two episodes, Space King episode 3 is kicking off to a roaring start. One of the changes we made is that we’ve moved up the different design processes towards the front of the pipeline, so now we have plenty of designs to go off of before the animatic is even complete.What does this mean for us? Firstly, there’s no guessing when it comes to design work in the animatic. It helps us understand how the characters could move before they’re placed in the animatic instead of the other way around. Secondly, it helps create consistency between shots so layout artists have more guides and references to go off of (so the burden of designing things doesn’t fall on them). Thirdly, it’s how other major studios do it, so why not?
What does this mean for all of you? You get a bunch of delicious eye candy that will be taken out of context to keep you guessing what Space King 3 will be about.
Who’s this mysterious freak? A noble? A politician?
What’s going on here in the old abandoned Mtn. Dew factory?
What could we possibly be doing with Captain’s collection of hair-straighteners?
Fear not, for all of these questions will be answered in due time, brothers.

Drawing all the different aspects of Space King’s world is an intense process and we wouldn’t be able to do this without all the support we’ve gotten since episode 2, especially from you Patreonis who support us so we can dedicate all of our love and attention towards Space King.
