Greetings brothers! The time for another Flashgitz Friday is upon us, which means all you loyal brothers deserve another production update! So pop a squat, open up your favorite sodie pop, and witness what we’re concocting over here behind the scenes.
The script is almost complete, it just needs a little more time to bake. We appreciate the patience, because so far, this is looking like a 20 minute toon! WOWEE. We’re not a big studio, but a humble wittle Youtube channel, so we’re still not quite used to undertakings of this magnitude. Nevertheless, production continues thanks to YOU. Now hang onto your globules because I got some fun stuff to show you.This week, I wanted to share a fun tidbit from the title sequence. Remember the part of the intro animatic that I shared last week where Captain rips off the arms of the alien and beats them with it?
Yeah, this part! That bald caucasian male in the middle is supposed to be an alien.
What follows seems like a seizure-inducing drum solo, but it’s actually Captain ripping the arms off different aliens on different planets. I already showed off the planets that our background artists have been making, so this time, I’m going to show off the different aliens that’ll be dismembered. When you see these guys on the screen for half a second, think of all the hard work our beautiful asset artists did designing these guys.
Here, we gave this alien a big dumb glass dome for the boys to SMASH >:)

You could probably tip this guy on his back and he’ll just wobble around helplessly. Best to just put them out of their misery.
Don’t get too attached to these freaks because, besides being heretical, we’re going to brutalize them :)
I also have a few new things to show off from the VFX department. Our main man Adrian, who I mentioned in a past post, has been pumping out some really sweet shit. Truthfully, I haven’t been giving his department the love it deserves, so here’s a few shots that I can share without spoiling too much of the intro.
Take a look at the bubbles in the tank! Little details like these make you really feel like you can just taste those delicious chemicals.
All this dry-ice makes the globule storage look oddly.. sanitary.
Can’t turn your back for even a second or your squadmates will be roasting weenies on your back.
As you can see, the submissions lately have been SICK. The whole crew has been working hard despite the delays with the script. But trust me, it’ll be worth the wait!
