Well, well, well, look who made it to the weekend! That’s right, it’s Flashgitz Friday once again, and I’ve got a whole smorgasbord of updates for you patient little troublemakers out there. Buckle up, try not to make your screen all sticky. You know what I’m talking about.
Space King 3 is coming along HOT. This week we’ve been making some serious strides, especially in the animation and background departments. We’ve been getting key animation scenes locked down and uploaded, and that’s only because our trusty Flashgitz FAMILY has been happily working around the clock ::)))
This week, Don left the comfort of his Flashgitz penthouse and fought in the trenches to lead the charge for the Special Pose department. So as you can see, it’s been pretty crazy this week, so let’s just kick back and get onto the fun stuff.
Remember our good ol' giant Star Defender? Well, he's back, baby! The last time we saw him, we were still calling them Star Fuckers.

The VFX team has been putting in some serious work. They’ve been desperately clawing for a little extra attention lately (not that they don’t deserve it), so let’s give them their moment in the spotlight. These guys have been grinding, constantly finding new ways to make our effects look ~chef’s kiss~.

Some might call the sheen on this forcefield a little over the top, but nothing’s too good for Space King.
We also have a couple new backgrounds here for you to gawk at. As we keep moving forward with the remaining ¾ of the toon, the background department floodgates will be opened. A whole plethora, at least 17 minutes worth, of backgrounds will be started and completed in the following weeks. Here’s a small sample of what’s to come.

He’s been a bit bummed ever since he found out that they’re no longer called “Star Fuckers.”

So much progress being made in all the departments and so much to show for it! It’s not a competition, but if it was, which department won your affection the most (note that we will be killing the departments who didn’t meet your expectations this week.)
We’re really hitting our stride in production. We’re not running into nearly as many snags as there were in Space King 1 and 2. We jsut have too many things to work on than to get bogged down with a single episode. And because of these strides in development, we were even able to start the animatic for episode 4!
Before I get back to the grind, I have to give a huge shoutout to all of our Brothers (and Greedy Brothers, too) for all the love and support. Seriously, without you, this small indie operation would be more of a dumpster fire than a finely tuned ship.
