Brothers! Welcome back to yet another Flashgitz Friday.
Firstly, let’s address the 2nd channel-sized elephant in the room - There will not be a new video on the second channel this week. All that talk last week about having a new video? It was all just.. A.. um.. test of faith from Space King himself!
Okay, for real though…
The video is shot and mostly edited, but we have a lot of loose ends that need tying up before the video is ready to go, so we’re gonna push it to next week. I’m sorry I got your hopes up, but how about I make this a big fat juicy Flashgitz Friday to make up for it, okay?
I’ll even share a few images from the video to prove I’m not just making everything up.
Meanwhile, at Flashgitz Headquarters…

Keep an eye on the second channel NEXT week. And if not next week, the week after that. We’ve already filmed a few other videos, so once that first one is up, we’re OFF TO THE RACES, BABY!
Now, as for Space King Episode 3…
We’ve been hitting production pretty hard. A lot of the pre-production stuff is already done, so despite what it looks like, the cartoon is about 70% complete.
A lot of what largely needs to be done at this point is making backgrounds for every single goddamn shot. Right now, the background department is in the lines and sketch stages on a good portion of the backgrounds. Check em out.
You can vaguely see a phantom of a warrior, defending his Minecraft home with fervor. Have I already made a Minecraft joke?

The thought of trying to keep the perspective correct in some of these shots makes me nauseous. But that’s no problem because we only hire the best artists here at Flashgitz. Praise be!
Moving from backgrounds, we’ve got a handful of new submissions from the other departments. Some departments, like assets, have a lot of their work completed for this episode, so they’re shifting a bit over to design work along with special poses.
