Brothers! Another Flashgitz Friday is upon us yet again, but it’s not just any Flashgitz Friday! Well, for a lot of you it is, but for the based patriots in America, it’s INDEPENDENCE DAY, which means we’re gonna have a SUPER SPECIAL PATRIOTIC EDITION OF FLASHGITZ FRIDAY! (Sorry Canadians, should’ve had Canada day on Friday!)

Production has been going at a great pace. As you all saw last week, the background department is working on a lot of hallways, walls, and floors in the blocky fortress. Invigorating stuff, but that’s what we pay them the big bucks for. Right now, they’re mostly in the lines phase. There’s not much detail to the giant blocky fortress’ interior, but that just means there needs to be special attention paid towards the detail we DO see so the set doesn’t just look like some abandoned space hotel.
Line width, the little cracks in the walls, the perspective, it’s all being watched like a hawk by our background leads.

Though the background department is still busy with their Sisyphean task, animation is still going strong! Here’s some neat clips that I stole from the submissions folder. The character rigs are definitely sturdier compared to episode 1 and 2.
