I know you’re all champing at the bit to see more production updates, so I’ve been sent here from heaven to deliver to you what you seek most - SPACE KING 3 NEWS.
WE DID IT BROTHERS! 6 MILLION VIEWS! And we deserve every single one of them because of how great we are!!!
The remainder of the toon’s backgrounds are largely done and animation has been progressing like crazy. If I had to make up a completely arbitrary number off the top of my head to measure how far along Space King 3 is, I’d say it’s about 80% - 81.5% of the way there. See? I put it in bold! That makes it like a fact almost.

As we approach the ending stages of production, with most of the remaining work being animation before we move onto the comp stages, the toon is in a great spot. Seems like just yesterday that I was showing you all the unfinished scribbles of the animatic (or trying to stretch the cold-open into several blogposts.)
In terms of animation quality, we’ve come a long way from episode 2. Nailing down the different perspectives, making the characters more expressive (without making them look DUMB and CUTESY like gay little D*SNEY characters.)
Hatemonger’s just trying to keep Chestnut from picking up any diseases from whatever this thing is. Older-brother coded.

“But what about backgrounds? We always get our weekly backgrounds.” I hear the weakest among you ask. Well, don't worry your pretty little heads, because I have a few special shots for you today.
In addition to the loads of technical shots that the BG department is finishing up, they’ve been working on a lot of dynamic backgrounds for this episode (and to prepare for crazier future episodes like episode 4).

By combining 3D techniques with our own static background style, they’ve come up with some really dynamic results. Check it out!

Back to Final Destination - Space King edition.
This shot was a pretty involved piece of engineering (ignore the animatic, that was from before we decided to just remove every character from the rest of the toon.)
The background leads have been doing such a great job for so long, we’re almost considering letting the background leads take a vacation. And by “vacation”, I mean “a one-time use voucher for a 15 minute dilly-dally break.”
In addition to the toon’s animation and background winding down, we’re also putting together another animatic for our next ad that’ll be in Episode 3! Check out some of the stills!

Well, brothers! That does it this week for Space King updates. But now that we have that all taken care of, we can move onto the REAL content - THE TOM AND DON CHANNEL!
We’ve prepared a really juicy video for you guys for the next release - whenever THAT will be! (Remember - mentioning a release date magically curses the video to be delayed). We’re very proud of how it came out. It’s hilarious, topical, and will probably be the first video to get a trillion views. Take a look at some of the screenshots you can expect from the next video!
