BROTHERS! Welcome to another Flashgitz Friday! Boy, do I have some healthy and hearty production updates for you today! Mmmm~MMM!
Today, I have a handful of updates from each of our different projects. A lot of finished shots from Space King 3, some character designs from the Christmas Special, and a little peek at this week’s episode of Tom and Don.
Me, slowly sliding the Flashgitz Friday down your guys’ throats.Space King 3 is progressing beautifully, as usual. At this point, we’ve become a well-oiled cartoon making machine. Many of the shots have been composited and finalized. Another step towards getting this baby wrapped and shipped off so you, the handsome and humble patron, can watch it with a big ol’ bucket of popcorn and squee with delight :) The “squeeing with delight” part isn’t a joke. It’s our most ambitious episode yet.. well, I guess that’s a given. You guys would probably grab your pitchforks and torches if episode 3 was a step back from episode 2. BUT I DIGRESS. Below you’ll find some finished shots from episode 3. Tread carefully, this is holy ground.
Any battery manufacturers out there need someone to sponsor?
The rain makes Captain’s crash-out more dramatic
The Grand Wiza- wait
Bryce was voted the fans’ favorite, beating Hatemonger by 4 trillion votes.
Female cops the second you step out of the car
Any guesses on what this “exotic forcefield” is made of before the episode drops? Winner gets bragging rights.
Moving on to the Space King Christmas Special! We’re still in the early stages, but we’re getting the boards and the assets nailed down right now. In fact, we almost have the whole episode boarded out (thanks to the multiple board artists we hired at the beginning of Space King 3). We’re making quick progress!Today, I wanted to show off some of the character designs that we got rendered pretty recently, along with the napkin sketches they started off as. Check them out!
The colorised War Priest with the gated community around his head.
A humble young lad. Based on the fact that this is a Christmas special, maybe you can guess who it’s supposed to be?
The lad now vectorized in his sleek and stylish Psycho Warrior armor.
This ginger bastard one is also based off of someone you might know from a Christmas movie.
The ginger bastard in his Psycho-Warrior Armor.
Even though it looks a bit like Captain, it’s not! But I can’t say who it is yet because we still have, like, 4 months until Christmas.
Rough sketches of an alien that’ll appear later in the episode.
You know what the best part about designing psycho-warriors is? They all share the same body. You just gotta give them a new head and a fresh coat of paint and they’re ready to go.Alright, that does it for the Christmas special updates. I’ll be sure to sneak you guys some more sneak peeks of the Christmas Special next week, my brothers <3 but now, it’s time to check out the Tom and Don channel.Last week we gave a historical video a try with Ranking the Crusades, and we’re pretty happy with the feedback! We’d love to do more historical videos like this, so we have a few in the chamber that we want to try out.
Go check it out if you haven’t already! Discussions about Crusades are always fun.
But this week, we’re skipping the historical video and doing something totally unexpected. Something that will totally blindside you all and make you wonder if you’re even watching the Tom and Don channel: ANOTHER WARHAMMER 40K VIDEO!
Another Warhammer video! GET EXCITED or GET OUT! (Don’t leave pls<3)
Howdy, pard’ner.
Two genders was too extreme. There needs to be only one.
Head on over to the Tom and Don channel and check it out! I know you’re gonna like it.
Alright, gang gang, that does it for this week’s Flashgitz Friday, but not before I give you all a big fat shout-out, Brothers and Greedy Brothers! You’re all make the Flashgitz world spin with your generous patronage and we couldn’t be doing any of this without you. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now let’s get to the fan art!
