DESCRIPTION

Hello everyone! It is time for our monthly roundup, where I cover what we accomplished in the last month, and set sights forward towards the next!

We accomplished quite a bit this month in terms of variety and content, publishing community maps, new projects, and even adding to existing sets. Let's take a look!

The Rogue's Den: We published the Rogue's Den as part of our January 2026 Poll, and added two tiers to the set! The Rogue's Den is a player-owned home and base built for rogues, and comes with hobby rooms, training chambers, and even a hidden vault for collecting treasures!

The Saltfish Tavern: Set in a salty coastal town, the Saltfish is a tavern that serves the local labor class of the settlement. Though the amenities are sparse, the comfort and food are what brings people in time and again. I experimented with some new architectural styles for this tavern, based on the local culture of where the Saltfish exists in my home game, the fishing and mining town of Drenn.

Free / Lurker

The Merchant's Cog: A cargo cog is a well suited with low draughts and strong sails to capture the erratic and shallow travails of coasts and rivers. The Merchant's Cog is a map that I worked to include a degree of historical accuracy I wasn't quite satisfied with in other ship maps. Its a 3-level cargo ship filled with goods that are being transported from port to port! Great for up to 11 full-time sailors.

Lurker

The House of Wine: For revelry and merry-making, the House of Wine is a stylish, chic, and verdant tavern that spans 2 levels and can hold up to 100 party-goers at a time. I had a lot of fun making this map set, and learned to create new features that completed the aesthetics of a vacation getaway-style establishment. Set near a beach, the House of Wine has tons of plants, flowers, and even a rotunda trellis crawling with vines and wildflowers. With plenty of shade, spots to drink and relax, and even a built-in stage, the House of Wine is another addition to our ever-growing Inns & Taverns Collection!

Lurker

Dungeon Courtyard: This map is a foggy, rocky outdoor courtyard that precedes a dungeon entrance, and it definitely looks foreboding enough to meet that requirement. Complete with gnarled, rough trees that are chock full of ritual candles and skulls, the courtyard is a great spot for adventurers to prepare before they enter, or even a spot in your mountainous dungeon for them to catch their breath. Rest a while by the pools, stoke a fire, and grab apples from the tree to replenish yourself -- and then continue delving!

Lurker

Paladin's Bailey: This is the latest addition to our flagship series, the Player-Owned Bases Collection! The bailey is a massive 3-level map set that covers the needs of any paladin player-character, or even for a small holy guild of knights. With a massive inner and outer bailey wall, the map is meant to be a part of a small hamlet or settlement that has enough industry to support the castle's demands. In return, the knights provide stewardship over the region. Set in an agnostic medieval style, the bailey is a castle that I've had a lot of fun working on, especially due to the improvements I've experienced in making environments and terrain.

City Safehouse: This map set features a well-disguised safehouse in an urban / suburban environment from my home game set in an early 1900s-aesthetic empire. The brick and forest capture the feel of urban (but not too urban) home that draws little attention to an inquiring eye. However, a hidden entrance in the stair hall reveals a spy cellar, filled with weapons, intel, supplies, and even medicine. If you're looking for intrigue, then the City Safehouse will definitely cover the needs of a covert cell that lives boring jobs by day, and stalks the shadows of imperial politics by night.

Free

Dungeon Pack #1 (Underground Cistern): Magenta worked hard on a new style of maps and art to bring you this month, and she has released the Underground Cistern Dungeon set to add to our nascent Dungeons Collection. This is a massive set with 36 variants on an underground aqueduct and cistern dungeon set in the town of Drenn, and features a massive water mechanism that controls the water flow across two maps. The central chamber of the Cistern Control determines water movement across settling pools, and messing with it can certainly cause problems! If you're looking for a dungeon set in the damp underground, the Underground Cistern comes with all of that -- and more!

Hero

NPC Art Pack #8 (The Soldiers): Our art collection continues to grow and Magenta has been hard at work bringing to life a new set; the Soldiers (and pets)! These three unlikely heroes come from disparate backgrounds and have all found their calling in a life of survival and hardship at war. They've bonded, grown, learned, and fought for their homeland against all odds -- though they haven't come out unscathed. These NPCs come from our home game, and they have had very interesting lives that brought them from the battlefield to the shadows of the imperial capital, where they have been recruited by the God of Mysteries to investigate a conspiracy that could upend the very Empire they pledged their lives to. The Soldiers art pack also comes with the Hero-tier version of the City Safehouse, the home in which they conduct their operations!
