Our resident character artist Magenta has given life to a set of Major Arcana tarot cards, which we are excited to share along with the map set they will be featured in!
The Hierophant
He is a mendicant of the ritual cassock, a collector of small, bruised orthodoxies who finds knowledge in the grease of a guttering candle. He carries the weight of a thousand minor traditions, yet his counsel remains a stabilizing tether for those adrift in the chaos of the march.
The Chariot
He moves with the heavy, unhurried grace of the seasons, an athlete of renown and achievement. His vitality is an authority to others, and a shield to himself. As he lives by the philosophy of personal experience, his courage is a beacon to behold.
The Empress
There is a terrifying abundance in her wake, a stubborn vitality that insists upon growth even in the shadow of the gallows-tree. Her authority is not born of gold or lineage, but of the fundamental necessity of experience and confidence.
The Sun
She is a youth of startling, inconvenient clarity, possessed of a joy that feels almost like an assault in the grim gray of the borderlands. Her innocence is not a lack of knowledge, but a refusal to be diminished by it. She is a vibrant, searing presence that demands the world be as bright as she perceives it.
