First off, sorry I haven’t been posting as much content as I hoped since “going live” again. I’ve been juggling quite a few things, and trying to avoid dropping the ball on it all is tough.
To be honest, I’ve hit a bit of a crossroads regarding Alchimia.
As you all well know, the story has reached a point where events are sort of changing. And, after a lot of back and forth on the matter, I've eventually reached the conclussion there were three paths to take moving forward.
Each route has its own appeal, its own challenges, and each would shape the story in very different ways.
The poll I’m putting up isn’t really about deciding what happens in the story, but rather whose perspective we’ll be following as it unfolds.
So, here are the options:
1) Rick the Alchemy Lord
This route leans into city-building and more about politics. Rick growing into his role as the city’s Lord, managing resources, navigating alliances, and uncovering more of the world’s lore. The focus here is on the broader picture, with personal subplots taking a backseat.
2) Harem-Growth Adventurer
Set on the more chaotic fringes, this option centers on one of the otherworlders (TBD), tangled in both the kingdom’s obsession with blood purity and Rick’s growing influence. It’s closer in tone to the original story. Personal stakes, harem antics, and getting pulled into messes they didn’t sign up for. Expect lewds and light-hearted drama.
3) Rick the... Family Man?
Between Monica’s adopted “kitten” and a certain pregnant orc from the tribe, Rick’s life is starting to look very different. This arc leans into slice-of-life, focusing on smaller, more intimate stories. The big political and magical tensions take a backseat while we explore things like whether Monica can learn to fish.
