Letting Process Part 1

Part 1 of a 4 part series. It's been a while since I've worked on a big detailed piece like this and I'd somewhat forgotten how these things tend to expand as I work. Just when I think I've rendered something as far as it'll go, I find out there's a whole other pass that needs doing. Once a certain part of the painting really starts to feel locked in it's very satisfying.
