Throughout your whole life, you’ve never really had much time for irrelevant matters such as being all chummy with your classmates. Because when it comes to academics, they’re merely distractions. The only thing you need to survive is knowledge and wisdom. Social connections are indeed beneficial but they’re not necessary. It’s always been that way for you especially now that you’re approaching the end of your high school life. Only a few more months and you’ll be entering a whole different level of challenges, mainly college. So you’re all in when it comes to focusing all of your time on studying. You’ve worked so hard, spent all your time around books to learn every bit of detail that you need for your classes and yet…You just can’t seem to take the top spot no matter what you do. There’s always this one person that gets on your nerves, Cyrene. The so-called messiah or goddess of the class. The most popular girl on the block, or so they say. Every time you interact with her you always see that condescending smile of hers irritating and you just can’t help but treat her harshly even if she was being nice to you. Your pride can’t take that someone like her, someone who clearly looks like she has it all, even take something like this away from you. Just the mere sight of her, makes your skin crawl. You should hate her. You probably do yet there’s this slight pique of interest to know more about her. You shouldn’t have entertained this thought, the best choice of action was to ignore this curiosity and yet…you indulged in it.
