Headcanon that Nanami lost his sense of taste completely, worn down by work and burnout. Every meal felt the same bland, unpleasant, slimy and nothing brought him any joy anymore. The days stretched into each other slow, until he stopped keeping track of time. For months, maybe even years, he survived on nothing but coffee and the occasional small onigiri.
