hey.
random post on a Thursday afternoon!
I just wanted to give a little bit of an update with stuff. Nothing specific on development, but I think more frequent posts about misc. things could be fun? Idk. I'm trying new things :).
This week I worked on some very important cutscenes. A few (compact) lore bits that I think will cause everyone, or at least most, some minor (major) brain damage.
Anyway! I took the time to finish up editing the rest of the Madame X sprites. I finished a few, but there were a couple left that needed some updating. Like so:
okay, but she was so small... So tiny and filled with rage. Like chihuahua...
We also get a cool new pose:
She's a lot bigger now so I could work with a lot more details. But man, more details means more time taken to make sure things look right. It's a trial. But I'm working through it!!
Anyway, I tend to go through phases when I do my work. In the beginning im exciting and optimistic. During the middle I'm full of despair. "This is gonna be so bad" or like "I should just quit". The normal anxiety induced declarations.
However, right now I'm in the "Wow I have so much left to do and the year is almost up" kind of phase. I know people tell me to take my time, but oof... It's kind of hard to live up to my own expectations and others. I know it's bad to stick to negative feedback, but I have seen a few comments complaining about how long rejuv takes and even though I KNOW it's for the better... It still gets to me. It's a little haunting, daunting, but I swear im not flaunting.
In other news, I am keeping things under wraps as usual, but I've been debating doing some other content to keep the phases in between not so empty. It doesn't necessarily need to be rejuv related, butttttttt
Would you guys be interested in patreon exclusive videos? Maybe just talking about development. Maybe some spriting demonstrations, maybe a ramble video about literally whatever, lol... etc....
Well, let me know. I'm open to a lot of things.
have a final thingy
Thank you all for supporting me. And I hope you all have a wonderful week!
